Sauce:

  • 2 cups milk (whole milk preferred)

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs for added crunch

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Make Sauce: Melt butter, whisk in flour, then milk. Stir until thick, season, and mix in cheddar and mozzarella.
  3. Layer Potatoes: Arrange half the potatoes, pour half the sauce, repeat layers.
  4. Top & Bake: Add remaining cheese, cover, bake 30 mins. Uncover and bake 15–20 mins until golden.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle parsley and serve hot!
