  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Meat & Seasoning:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (for depth)

Serving Suggestion:

  • Mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits

Instructions

1️⃣ Brown the beef – In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with onions and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
2️⃣ Make the roux – Push the beef to the side, add butter, and melt. Stir in flour and cook for about a minute until lightly golden.
3️⃣ Create the gravy – Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Let it simmer until thickened.
4️⃣ Add the creamy touch – Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and heavy cream. Let it cook for another 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning if needed.
5️⃣ Serve it up – Pour over fluffy mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
