- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips or chunks
- Flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Brown Butter: Melt butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty. Cool slightly.
- Mix Sugars & Butter: Whisk browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Add to wet ingredients.
- Add Chocolate: Fold in chocolate chips. Chill dough (optional).
- Bake Cookies: Preheat oven to 350°F. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool & Enjoy: Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
