🛒 Ingredients:
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar (optional)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a cast-iron skillet or baking dish.
- Mix dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another.
- Combine & stir until just mixed—don’t overmix!
- Pour batter into skillet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, slice, and serve!
