Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Mushroom Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced – cremini or white mushrooms)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For Garnishing (Optional):
- Fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil.Season and Sear the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and place in the baking dish.Sauté the Mushrooms:
In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced mushrooms. Cook for 4-5 minutes until softened, then add garlic and thyme, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.Prepare the Sauce:
Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese (if using) and let the sauce thicken for 2 minutes.Bake the Chicken:
Pour the mushroom sauce over the chicken breasts in the baking dish. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).Serve & Enjoy:
Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables!
Notes
